Launched in June 2017, the capacity development component of TAMC is being jointly implemented by Indiqua Consulting and Niras Sweden, with financial support from the Swedish Embassy in Mozambique.
The project will see 20 entrepreneurs selected from SOCREMO’s customers in Maputo, Matola, Beira and Nampula, receiving training and mentorship, in the area of business management, over a period of 12 months. Most of those customers have previously received loans from SOCREMO and this project is aimed at increasing their capacity in order to effectively benefit from the SIDA/USAid loan guarantee programme.
The first class, which has been on the program since September 2017, draws participants from a range of business sectors, which include fisheries, trading, ICT, catering, transportation and carpentry.
The project runs until end 2020 and it is expected that up to 80 specially selected entrepreneurs of SOCREMO will benefit, many of whom will be women.
